If you're from Chicago, you know the Windy City is one of the most versatile places around for doing a huge variety of stuff. One of the biggest and most artistic cities in the US and located right on Lake Michigan, Chicago has something for everyone-whether you want to hit the beach, go sailing, picnic in the park, hit a museum, or-well, pretty much anything!

At Sierra VW, we know the Volkswagen Jetta is the perfect car to drive in Chicago thanks to its small size, efficient engine, and agile handling. If you're a Jetta driver (or want to be!) the following are great places to take your Jetta on a drive.

Animal lovers can't go to Chicago without stopping at the Lincoln Park Zoo, which is an especially great choice for locals and tourists because they have free entry! Outdoorsy types will love a trip to one of Chicago's many parks, like Calumet Park or the Dan Ryan Forest Preserve.

Foodies will want to take one of Chicago's many food and beer tours, or visit a brewery-Chicago is literally brimming with them. And if you're an outdoorsy foodie, go on a picnic! Chicago has so many great picnic spots. Whether you go to a park, the beach, or the Adler Planetarium, you'll find a comfortable place to eat with an incredible view.

Speaking of the beach, there are plenty of beaches along the Lake Michigan coastline that are perfect daytrips. Montrose Beach has a separate beach for visitors with dogs and is one of the only beaches in the area that lets you rent and launch watercrafts. Oak Street Beach, North Avenue Beach, and Ohio Street Beach all have their own great features, so check them out!

If you've never been to Chicago before and want to get your tourist on, take a driving tour around the city (perfect for a Jetta!). Hit Millennium Park, the Cloud Gate, Michigan Avenue, the Cloud Deck. Check out the Holy Name Cathedral and walk the Chicago Riverwalk. It's hard to run out of things to do in Chicago, so whether you're visiting or a permanent resident, you'll always have a new place to go!
